Study 10:
The New One World Religion

In his vision of the end times, John the Revelator saw the great beastly, and how the world wondered after and worshiped it. “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?” (Rev. 13:3-4.)

As observed in another study, the woman of Revelation 17 sits on many waters, representing authority over many people, and that includes, not only political structures, but religious as well. The word Catholic means Universal. So the Roman Catholic Church is claiming to be the Universal or Worldwide Church, asserting authority over, not only all the Christians of the world, but all people and religions of the world. Let’s end our discussion by seeing what the old Dragon is up to in trying to fulfill that dream of the Great Whore of Babylon.

It was just mentioned above that a secret sign would be given to the Jesuits when the Roman Catholic Church had successfully infiltrated every major Christian religion and every government, and that sign was given January of 1981. Alberto Rivera, a Jesuit defector to true Christianity, said that during his training, as a Jesuit Priest, he was also taught how to infiltrate Christian denominations for the purpose of dividing churches, destroying pastors and influencing doctrine. He gave a small list of the churches, which included: Adventist (7th Day Adventist), Assembly of God, Baptist, Church of Christ, Churches of God, Episcopalian, Jehovah’s Witness, Lutheran, Methodist, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Moslem, Nazarene, Orthodox Greek, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, United Evangelical, etc.

What else are they doing to reach their goal of a one-world church under the leadership of the Papacy? Let’s consider a couple of them.

The World Council of Churches
The Roman Catholic Church would use allied forces to gain their objective. What happened to this movement is that it was infiltrated with communists from the Eastern Orthodox Church. This council soon went off to engage in the social ills of the world.

The World Council of Churches began with its organization in 1948 with 147 denominations from both Protestant and Orthodox backgrounds. Today, it has grown to include 293 member denominations representing some 400 million people. It has been and is a major force and voice of what is commonly called ECUMENISM, a term used to describe the effort to bring all churches into “a visible unity in one faith and one eucharistic fellowship”. The WCC claims that it is “the most nearly comprehensive instrument of the ecumenical movement in the world today”. It should be further noted that, while the original goal of the ecumenical movement and the WCC was “the unity of the churches”, the new vision of the WCC is for the unity of all religions-and, in fact, all mankind. It should be clear to all who have been watching the WCC that it has become a modern Tower of Babel accepting not only Christian denominations but all so-called pagan or non-Christian as well.

The 1991 World Council of Churches chose to open its seventh assembly with a pagan ceremonial welcome from pagans of Australia. Aboriginal witch doctors performed animalistic ceremonies to welcome the Catholics, Presbyterians, Methodists, Disciples of Christ, Evangelical Lutherans, and American Baptists, etc. to this event. The religion of these pagans is animalistic and does not differ at all from African heathenism. Not only did they perform, but also in order to attend, all the worshippers at the assembly opening session were forced to enter the Assembly Hall through a pagan cleansing ritual. Here is the description of that ritual from their publication. “The worship began with an Australian Aboriginal ritual. Participants entered the tent through the smoke of burning branches, a traditional aboriginal cleansing ritual.” (Assembly Line, World Council of Churches, No. 1, p.1) The blood of Jesus Christ was blasphemed as they dared claim cleansing through a pagan and heathen ceremony.

It’s hard to believe such mindless activities could be tolerated by an organization claiming to represent the major Christian churches of the world, much less force all who attend to blaspheme God. You cannot call this action anything but a direct act of pagan worship in defiance of the first commandment. “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:3)

In one of the most telling examples of the occult nature of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope John Paul II allowed his forehead to be marked by a Pagan Shiva priestess. Acceptance of this mark is indication of the recipient’s submission to the Shiva priestess! (Former Catholics for Christ Newsletter, dated Jan/Feb/mar, 1998.) The Pope became the obedient disciple of a pagan priestess of the Shiva religion of India. This is but one of a number of actions by this pope in which he either submitted himself to paganism, or publicly declared that pagan religions are equal to Christianity. (Picture at Right)

The New Age Dictionary defines the Shiva (pronounced “siva”) as the “Hindu God of Illusion, Yoga, Animals, Ascetics; Lord of the Dance, who lives on Mt. Kailas, Benares, and sundry other places around the world.” (Page 180.) Shiva is the totality of existence - male and female, light and dark, creation and destruction, yin and yang. We discover that Shiva embodies the Satanic theology of the Principle of Duality, especially as represented by the Male and Female Principle! Shiva is pure Satanism. Shiva is also very typical of the New Age religion, which speaks a lot of achieving “Original Oneness” with the universe, the ultimate state desired, called Nirvana. Thus, Shiva (Picture at Left.) is quite compatible with both Satanism and the New Age Movement.

In the Book of Revelation, the False Prophet, the leader of the new global religion of Antichrist, causes all people in the world to take a mark, either in the forehead or in the right hand. Therefore, it is a big deal when a Pagan priestess causes a mark to be made in the forehead of the Pope.

The membership list of this organization is extremely large, and includes most every major Christian faith along with most all non-Christian. The membership in this organization can be found on the internet. The amazing thing is, at least the last time I checked, the Roman Catholic Faith was the power behind the creation of the World Council of Churches, and the Pope and his representatives address all the meetings, but they do not hold official membership. Could that be a clandestine approach to throw people off from who is truly behind the movement?

Parliament of the World’s Religions
The Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions (CPWR) hosted the organization for the Parliaments in 1988. The 2004 Parliament was celebrated, and more than 8,900 individuals attended the Parliament in Barcelona, Spain. Having created the declaration Toward a Global Ethic at the 1993 Parliament, and attempted to engage guiding institutions at the 1999 Parliament, the 2004 Parliament concentrated on four pressing issues: mitigating religiously motivated violence, access to safe water, the fate of refugees worldwide, and the elimination of external debt in developing countries. What is a religious council doing getting engaged in social, political, and environmental affairs, unless the goal is to create a one world religion that encompasses every aspect of life?

The Great Whore of Revelation 17, who sits on many waters, claims to represent authority over all people, religious, political, and otherwise, and is putting forth great effort and influence to bring all together through whatever means possible. Like the World Council of Churches, its membership includes not only Christian religions, but pagan as well. The list of members in the Parliament of the World’s Religions is also quite numerous, and includes just about every Christian and non-Christian out there. What other entity has so much influence, worldwide, as does Roman Catholicism?

United Religious Initiative
This United Religions Initiative is the latest emerging attempt to pull all religions together. This is one of Satan’s schemes to replace the coming Kingdom of God with an Ecumenical Tower of Babel. It is yet another vain attempt of man to bring unity and peace among men and religions apart from God’s way as found in Holy Writ. The URI was founded in 1995 by Bishop William E. Swing. It came into its official beginning on June 26, 2000, toward the beast receiving its “One World Religion.”

What is most disturbing but not surprising is that we are dealing with a theosophical society. The theosophical mentality is based on mystical insight following the theories of Buddhism and Brahmanism, that of evolution and reincarnation. Islam and Communists have committed to this effort because it fits their agenda. Environmentalists have also been absorbed because they worship the earth.

The intent of the URI is to create a spiritual equivalent of the United Nations, encompassing all religions and all spiritual movements. The stated goals of the URI include peace among religions, social justice, and preservation of the environment. Bishop Swing (picture at left) said, “The nature of the United Religions would be to focus on: 1) the whole human family; 2) the whole health of our planet; and 3) the whole realm of living species, and to offer the unique gifts of religions.” ... The URI hopes to transform itself from the United Religions Initiative to the United Religions (UR) in June 2000, when the Charter of the UR is signed. By that time, the URI hopes to have the support of 60 million people worldwide.

Their goal is to transfer the wealth of rich countries such as the United States to third world countries such as Africa and Asia. There is now emphasis also on the poverty in the United States. Evangelicals for Social Action gears into poverty in the US which has resulted in the present political agenda with plans of moving billions of dollars into faith-based organizations to serve social needs. This process has been in effect in Africa for some time sponsored by the World Council of Churches.

From the United Religions Initiative themselves, we hear: “URI is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that has special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. This status allows URI to have representatives at the UN as well as to present relevant input to hearings held on topics that are of interest to our global community. The URI Cooperation Circle at the United Nations was instrumental in this great step forward. We are part of a global community of organizations dedicated to supporting the UN and each other in work for a more peaceful, secure future for all life.”
Below is the “official” public notification of the URI released to the press. NOTICE the types of religions that are officially starting off this “ONE WORLD CHURCH” of which the Pope of Rome has already been elected the leader:

“UNITED RELIGIONS INITIATIVE
“Cooperation Circles Accepted for Membership–
“The United Religions Initiative moved closer to its official birth last week as members of the international Board of Directors, now called the Interim Global Council, approved for Cooperation Circle (CC) membership, the applications of interfaith groups from around the world. CCs are the fundamental organizing unit of URI and are created by people who come together to initiate acts of interfaith cooperation. They are self-organizing and each determines its own unique purpose, membership and ways of making decisions that are relevant to and consistent with the Preamble, Purpose and Principles of URI.
“...URI’s official birth takes place in Pittsburgh, PA on June 26th, the first day of its annual Global Summit. Participants in the Charter signing will include religious leaders representing the world’s faith traditions as well as representatives from URI Cooperation Circles around the globe. Some of the faiths represented include: Hindu, Zoroastrian, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Taoist, Wiccan, Baha’i, Sikh, and Indigenous Peoples. Those involved come from countries such as Argentina, Sri Lanka, England, Israel, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Canada, India, Belgium, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Mozambique and others. URI is an organization where people act from their deepest values and claim their right and responsibility to do extraordinary things to serve interfaith cooperation on a local and global level.
“This conference marks the 5th Global Summit for the United Religions Initiative, which was conceived by California Bishop William E. Swing to bring together people of different religions and spiritual traditions to, “stop killing in the name of God and start learning to live together.” URI is a growing global community dedicated to promoting enduring daily interfaith cooperation, ending religiously motivated violence and creating cultures of peace, justice and healing for the Earth and all living beings.” (URI News http://www.united-religions.org/newsite/urinews/index.htm.)

Doesn’t this confirm that the Roman Catholic created URI (One World Church) is not concerned with filling their pews with only true followers of Christ? Read more, from their own lips, to find out who is truly in charge:

“CHURCHES AGREE THAT POPE HAS OVERALL AUTHORITY
“THE Pope was recognized as the overall authority in the Christian world by an Anglican and Roman Catholic commission yesterday which described him as a ‘gift to be received by all the Churches.’ ...if a new united Christian Church was created it would be the ‘Bishop of Rome’ who would exercise a universal primacy. The 43-page document, The Gift of Authority, has been produced by the 18-member Anglican-Roman Catholic International Commission, after five years of debate. The commission concluded that the Bishop of Rome had a “‘pecific ministry concerning the discernment of truth’ and accepted that only the Pope had the moral authority to unite the various Christian denominations.

Did you notice the word “universal” used in the above article? Do you realize the word, “Catholicism” is translated into the word “Universal?” What Protestants protested about in the past, they are now embracing, just as prophecy said they would. ALL the religions of the world, sooner or later, will be under the control of the Roman Catholic Church and the Vatican, or be literally annihilated; that is, if Christ doesn’t intervene.

How did this come about? How did the United Religion Initiative convince the other religions of the world they needed to JOIN TOGETHER as one Church, regardless of the fact they do not worship the same God?

First of all you need to preach from the Vatican that “Jesus is NOT the only way to get to heaven.” Then you need to get Protestant religious leaders to echo your same words. Once you have done this, most of your “public relations” is done. Ask yourself these questions:

“Why does the Pope do such blunt ANTI-Christian acts? For example, why has he been seen to bow down before the throne of Buddhism’s chief monk; or taken the mark of the god, Shiva, in his forehead from a Hindu priestess; or prayed with leaders of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism, and with African tribal witch-doctors, Asian shamen, Zoroastrian fire-worshipers, and Togo snake-handlers; or kneel and pray at the grave site of India’s most famous guru; or meet with the Islamic world’s top political and religious leaders. Or sit down with elite Jewish rabbis inside one of the world’s greatest synagogues and declare that Jews do not need to convert to Jesus; or meet privately with ecumenical leaders like U.S.A. evangelist Billy Graham, the Church of England’s Archbishop Carey, and charismatic healer Benny Hinn, all of whom have publicly recognized the Pope as ‘The world’s greatest religious leader’; or why has he participated in an occult earth ritual led by a Native American Indian medicine man in which the Pope is ‘marked’ on his forehead and accepts a feather as a talisman and charm; or why has he overseen young dancing priestesses in Asian pagan ceremony; or stood beside a near-naked African tribal woman worshiper whose breasts are totally bared; or why has he ‘okayed’ the sacrifice of animals on Catholic altars in South Africa as a way for the Vatican to ‘inculturate’ Catholic rites?

Only one reason. It has to do with the “UNITED RELIGIONS INITIATIVE” that has come to be the One World Church as of June 26, 2000. The fact is, they don’t care what you think! They know what the odds are, and they are in their favor. They know, as does their god, Satan, that MOST of the world doesn’t believe Holy Scriptures nor read them. They are not concerned with the puny little Remnant of TRUE believers they call “Bible Thumpers, Fundamentalists, Catholic Bashers, Legalists, or Born Againers” at this point; they are not worrying about having us warm their pews. They want the MASSES of non-believers to fill those benches. They want the world sitting in their One World Church which is to be the religion of the One World Government, the New World Order. Why, if they ever proclaim to all the world that one DOES need Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, then the Muslims, Buddhists, Jews and other non-Christian religions of the World will not feel welcome. So they did as prophecy declared, preach to the itchy ears what they “wanted” to hear. “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” (2 Tim. 4:3.)
The following is an excerpt from a March 6, 2008, article from The Times entitled, “That Martin Luther? He wasn’t so bad, says Pope.”

“Pope Benedict XVI is to rehabilitate Martin Luther, arguing that he did not intend to split Christianity but only to purge the Church of corrupt practices.
“Pope Benedict will issue his findings on Luther (1483-1546) in September after discussing him at his annual seminar of 40 fellow theologians — known as the Ratzinger Schüülerkreis — at Castelgandolfo, the papal summer residence.
“Cardinal Walter Kasper, the head of the pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, said the move would help to promote ecumenical dialogue between Catholics and Protestants. ...
“... This week it emerged that the Vatican is planning to erect a statue of Galileo, who also faced a heresy trial, to mark the 400th anniversary next year of his discovery of the telescope.
“Cardinal Kasper said: “We have much to learn from Luther, beginning with the importance he attached to the word of God.” It was time for a “more positive” view of Luther, whose reforms had aroused papal ire at the time but could now be seen as having “anticipated aspects of reform which the Church has adopted over time”.
“In 1517 he protested publicly against the sale of papal indulgences for the remission of sins in his ‘95 Theses,’ nailing a copy to the door of a Wittenberg church. Some theologians argue that Luther did not intend to confront the papacy ‘in a doctrinaire way’ but only to raise legitimate questions - a view Pope Benedict apparently shares.”

Can the reader see what is going on here? It’s a move of Pope Benedict to soften Protestant views toward the infamous Roman Catholic Church; having them believe that Romanism isn’t as bad as it once was, and perhaps it’s finally waking up. Pope John Paul II lulled the Pagan community to sleep, along with some of the Protestant, by his travelings and joining in with their various satanic forms of worship. Now his aim is specifically at the non-Catholic Christian community. Will they buy it? Of course they will! They will think, “Why these last two bullies on the block aren’t as bad as those of the past, perhaps we can have serious dialogue, and even a meeting of the minds.” Oh yes! There will be a meeting of the minds, all right, but it will inevitably be twisted toward the wishes of the Papacy, with him being the supreme head of ALL religions on the earth; a move to help achieve the long sought after desire for a One World Religion, and the Pope as the supreme head. People had better wake up and consider the Spider and the Fly story once again.

Mary, the Queen of Heaven and of All People and Nations
From ancient Babylon came the worship of a female goddess which was called the Queen of Heaven. This false goddess was often represented with 12 stars encircling her head (picture right). This pagan goddess was worshiped throughout the ancient world, and is still venerated all around the globe by pagan religions, although she is referred to by various names. One example is the Hindu religion as David R. Kinsley explains: “One of the most striking characteristics of the ancient and multifaceted Hindu religious tradition is the importance of goddess worship.” (Queen of All, p. 42.) Remember the Babylonian goddess with 12 stars representing the European Union and the EU poster with the twelve stars that are inverted to represent the satanic pentagram of the Goat of Mendes? (pictured left)? They are telling us, “right in our faces,” who is in charge of the European Union — the Roman Catholic Church.

The movement has been on for hundreds of years and is now gaining great momentum to bring all the world religions under one head, that of the Roman Pontiff. Apparitions of the supposed Mary, Mother of Jesus, have been on the upswing and are becoming alarmingly more frequent. What is most disturbing is the message she is giving to the world through these evil influenced so-called appearances. Her message is clear, it is for a one-world religion, and people of all religions are buying it. In their well documented book, Queen of All, the authors have irrefutably demonstrated that the goal of these Mary apparitions is to bring together all world religions into one grand NEW ONE WORLD RELIGION.

Whenever Mary appears she is referred to as “Our Lady,” and she appears in virtually every nation of the world. Here is a quote from a Mary apparition in Amsterdam, where she claims to be the “Lady of All Nations”:

“I am the Lady – Mary – Mother of All Nations. You may say, ‘The Lady of All Nations” or ‘Mother of All Nations,’ who once was Mary. I have come precisely today in order to tell you that I wish to be known as this. Let all the children of men, of all the countries in the world – be one!” (Queen of All, p. 93.)

Not only does this Mary claim to be the Queen or Lady of All Nations, she now has taken the title of Co-Redemptrix, and Mediatrix. From another apparition we hear from her:

“Once more I am here. – the Co-Redemptrix, Mediatrix, and Advocate is now standing before you. I have chosen this day: on this day the Lady will be crowned. Theologians and apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ, listen carefully: I have given you the explanation of the dogma. Work and ask for this dogma. You should petition the Holy Father for this dogma ... On this date ‘the Lady of All Nations’ will receive Her official title of ‘Lady of All Nations.’” (Given on May 31, 1954, Feast of Mary, Mediatrix of All Graces.)

What did the late Pope John Paul II have to say about this in his book, The Threshold of Hope? In this book he wrote about the “universal Church,” and universal, as is well known, means Catholic:

“After my election as Pope, as I became more involved in the problems of the universal Church, I came to have a similar conviction: On this universal level, if victory comes it will be brought by Mary.” (p, 215.)

This “universal” religion is designed, under the direction of the Papacy, to be the religion of the future ONE WORLD ORDER; and the One World Order will be the empire which will enforce that religion upon all people. Truly, the whore church rides the scarlet beastly kingdom as seen by the Prophets Daniel and John.

Closing Thoughts
Under orders from his Jesuit General, Pope John XXIII inaugurated the Trojan horse ecumenical movement or Vatican Council II. As a “Trojan Horse” its purpose was to lull the Christian world into believing that all is finally well between Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, and Paganism.

The Latin Mass was dumped along with the dogma: there is no salvation outside the Church of Rome. Among the multiplicity of “changes” brought about by Vatican II was the teaching that Protestants were no longer “heretics,” as they were once called, but “SEPARATED BRETHREN”!
Under the teachings of Vatican II, sincere Communists, Buddhists, Hindus, Moslems, atheists, etc., etc., were all going to Heaven as long as they were “SINCERE”!

The political and civil aspect of the U. S. seems to be destined for a change, as it is being influenced by most of the Protestant leaders who are ready to bury the hatchet with the Catholics. This could lead to the combining of the church and state, instead of the prevailing “separation” of the two. Here are a few quotes from some of the notable ones:

“Heads of American Protestant and Eastern Orthodox churches who were meeting with Pope John Paul II on Friday hailed their first broadly representative discussion as a landmark on the road to greater unity...The Rev. Donald Jones, a United Methodist and chairman of the University of South Carolina religious studies department, termed it, ‘the most important ecumenical meeting of the century.’ The Rev. Paul A. Crow Jr., of Indianapolis, ecumenical officer of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), called it a ‘new day in ecumenism’ opening a future in which God ‘is drawing us together.’” (The Montgomery Advertiser, Sept. 12, 1987.)

BILLY GRAHAM: “I’ve found that my beliefs are essentially the same as those of orthodox Roman Catholics.” (McCall’s, January 1978.)

Graham also called Pope John Paul II, “The greatest religious leader of the modern world.” (The Saturday Evening Post, January-February 1980.)

PAUL CROUCH: “I’m eradicating the word Protestant even out of my vocabulary...I’m not protesting anything... [it’s] time for Catholics and non-Catholics to come together as one in the Spirit and one in the Lord.” (“Praise the Lord” program, Trinity Broadcasting Network, Oct 17, 1989.)

ROBERT SCHULLER: “It’s time for Protestants to go to the shepherd [the pope] and say, ‘What do we have to do to come home?’” (Los Angeles Herald Examiner, September 19, 1987, Religion page.)

J. L. PACKER: “Protestant and Catholic charismatic teaching on the Christian life is to all intents and purposes identical. Is this not significant for the Christian future?” (J. I. Packer, Christianity Today, June 22, 1992.)

NEAL C. WILSON: “Although it is true that there was a period in the life of the Seventh-day Adventist Church when the denomination took a distinctly anti-Roman Catholic viewpoint...that attitude...has now been consigned to the historical trash heap so far as the Seventh-day Adventist Church is concerned.” (Neal C. Wilson, former president of the Seventh-day Adventist General Conference, 1974.)

The Papacy has recently (October 31, 1999) signed an agreement with the Lutheran Church, unifying their doctrine on salvation and justification by faith. On the anniversary of Martin Luther beginning the Protestant Reformation (like a lion), the modern Lutheran Church rescinded the reformation — no longer protesting — walking meekly into the arms of the Catholic Church like a lamb before the slaughter. They have forgotten all their founder, Martin Luther, had stood for and taught them. They even forgot that he warned: “I know that the Pope is Antichrist, and his seat is that of Satan himself.”

So, above, we have some of the major Protestant and religious leaders with their attitude toward the Roman Catholic Church and its Vatican papacy. With a president that the Protestants want to praise for his “born again” approach, things could get out of hand; especially when President George W. Bush claims to being “born again” was not a rebirth in Christ, but a Satanic rebirth into the Luciferian occult; although the Protestant leaders seem to be oblivious to this fact. History, in the near future, will prove to be quite interesting, as pointed out in a later study entitled, "Self-destruction of the Wicked."

“And the ten horns which [John] sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” (Rev. 17:16-18.)

“[Daniel] beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.” (Dan. 7:11-12.)
